A native of North Carolina, Dr. Joyner hails from Winston-Salem. She is an alumna of Howard University, where she obtained her B.S. in Biology. She returned to NC, and she earned her medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine at ECU and completed pediatric residency training at UNC-Chapel Hill. She enjoys talking about nutrition as well as behavioral health, but if you asked her to pick a favorite, she'd struggle as she truly enjoys the full scope of pediatrics.
